阿吽 A-UN
Our mission
Our mission is
to realize
sustainability of lives
through quaint
Japanese folk houses.
阿吽 A-UN
Speaking of “housing”, there is a huge number of problems we must tackle.
Energy, natural resources, global warming…
Utilizing old folk houses with a long history and significant values is, in fact, the key.
We’d love to reveal and present the values of beautiful, quaint Japanese folk houses to the world, and transcend them into something timeless for human lives.
“A-UN" is a Sanskrit term means “from the beginning to the end of the universe”.
We’d love to reveal and present the eternal values of something with a short lifespan.
That is our mission.
阿吽 A-UN
絆つなぐ
Living in a quaint folk house for a long, long time-
For a really long time beyond the limitations of national borders and times.
Live out the craftsmanship and wisdom of the old inhabitants.
Traditional Japanese techniques are in high esteem all over the world.
We’d love to convey how appealing quaint folk houses are-
with values being passed down along the history for the creation of quality time,
instead of something merely with a short lifespan that we easily get tired of.

材ざい
The different expressions of beams and pillars with changes over time.
They are the discernible features simply not owned by modern houses.
Materials with decades or even hundreds of years of history deep in the woods in Japan.
Their existence takes our modern life to new heights.
Redefining “beauty” and “safety” through proper, regular inspections and reinforcement.
美び
The beauty of quaint folk houses has two origins- functional beauty and décor beauty.
Functional beauty, the thorough charm without waste created by the residents.
And quaint Japanese houses are built manually,
embodying tremendous human wisdom and techniques.
Joinery, roof tiles, ranma panels, tatami…they all shine as traditional craftmanship.
Being practical but still, with a playful heart- the two beauties of Japanese quaint houses.

3.Relocation

We do relocation in Japan and overseas. We are familiar with all updates of policies for the safe and proper transports of all building materials. We are also able to arrange professional engineers and construction workers at overseas sites.
